A mantra is a word, phrase, or sound you can use in meditation or throughout your day to achieve a state of mind. Today, I’m choosing to discuss a mantra that is connected to your Heart chakra. The mantra of the Heart chakra is “I love.” And, here we’ll discuss, “I love myself and am worthy of love.”
It’s easy to focus on your love outwardly, that which you extend to others. However, one of your most important journeys is that of self-love. And, a journey it is. Aware or unaware, through life people pick up tendencies to not love themselves fully. To not accept their flaws. To not feel comfortable coming forward as who they authentically are. To bury or hide that which is uniquely them.
To find yourself, your authentic self, and love that person for everything they are…that is self-love. To accept yourself fully, with every mistake you learn from, for every perceived flaw…that is self-love. To have a heart full of love for yourself.
Some may feel that a journey of self-love is, well, selfish. A concept that you need to truly understand is that you cannot love others fully if you cannot love yourself fully. You cannot accept love fully if you do not love yourself. You cannot accept others for their authentic self if you haven’t found it in your heart to accept fully of your authentic self.
Give yourself grace. Allow yourself the space to learn and grow. Love yourself for the person you are right now, the person you have been, and the person you strive to be. And understand that no matter which space you exist in, you are worthy of love. Create a safe space within you and outside of you to flourish. “I love myself and am worthy of love.”
